Who do you think you are?

Our lives have changed so much in the past ten years. My life as a media consumption is everyday. One day we went from not even having the internet to always wanting to be on it. We went from looking at newspapers for sports events, concerts. and top news in the country. Nowadays, we are looking at TVs and our phones for all of that.

Media consumption is a every day part of my life. Whether it is looking at when a football game starts, or when we need to look up research for a paper for school. I have most of my information from the web. A lot of images that we have found, or have seen on the internet that they have shared on Facebook. Media is how I get most of the information.
For example, when the Pulse nightclub shootings happened. The first thing i saw was when someone posted on Instragram "Stay Strong Florida" as a hashtag. I then went and did some research on the internet to find out what the hashtag meant. Later to find out that there was a huge shooting in a nightclub in Florida.  From the very beginning, all the titles where "Pulse nightclub shooting" or "Mass shooting in Florida." The media put out that there was a lot of protest out about how the shooting happened, or why it happened.
When you think about the Pulse nightclub, you don't think of the beautiful club that once was. You think of the shooting that killed a lot of people a few months ago. Where the media covered the story for three days, and talked about why the shooter went and did such a horrible thing. The media went from saying the shooter was a terrorist, to being anti-gay, and finally that he was gay and was hiding it from his family. He thought he was acting in terrorism because he pledged to ISIS before shooting 49 victims, and himself. Here is the link to CNN talking about the shooter- http://www.cnn.com/2016/06/12/us/orlando-nightclub-shooting/
